Sorry about my lack of blogging
Sorry about my lack of blogging lately but it is finals week and I have been extremely busy. So far I have completed three of my five classes and have managed to get an "A" in all of them. I have another final tonight and then the last on on Thursday. I will then take a must needed break.
Anyway once all this school stuff is over I will get back to regular blogging. So I hope everyone else going to school is having fun wrapping things up and getting ready for the summer. Good luck on those tests and have a great vacation.

I suppose all of the stuff about illegal immigration is finally starting to sink in. Earler this week the real id thing was passed and though the President signed it yet the Mexican Government is screaming.
Mexico furious at tough US law on migrants
And then the have this guy saying it doesn't matter what we do, we will not be able to stop the illegals from coming here.
No way to stop border crossings?
Then of course you have this going on.
Border Patrol told to stand down in Arizona
And then there is this.
Border Patrol Takes Fire From Across Border
Everyday more and more stories are coming out. There have been some police officers shot in Colorado by illegals. Our prisons are full of them.
I don't think it would be to hard to round them up. Here is San Diego the INS could just go to any Home Depot or Lowes and day of the week and they would hit the jackpot. Not just could they get all the illegals standing around waiting to get hired, but they could get all the ones that are buying building supplies for unlicensed building projects. They could also pick up many as they drop their kids of at school in the morning.
Anyway I could go on and on, but a fellow blogger Drumwaster states my feeling fairly well. Check him out here.
Welcome to California
And
Any time you get Ted Kennedy on one side of an issue
I hope that the government will get a handle on this. It is time for the Mexican Govrnment to support their own people, not force us to do so.

I heard this on the radio on my way to work this morning on the Rick Roberts Show, but it took me quite a while to find the article on the web. Basically this law if passed will allow illegal aliens to pay a $2000 fine and then become citizens.
What are these people thinking, Kennedy and Mc Cain? Each illegal alien kid in our schools costs the taxpayers $10.000 a year. When they go on welfare how much does that cost?
I heard but have not been able to find the statistics that instead of 11 Million ilegals there are more like 25 million here. This is one of the dumbest bills ever thought up. Read about it here:
Bills could grant legality to 10 million immigrants
Can't we ever get these idiots out of office? I actually saw a thing on Drudge that he is still researching, that the border patrol has been ordered to stand down in the vicinity of the minutemen to cover up thier impact on border crossings. It is time these jerks are voted out of office.
We elect or government officials to protect and serve. If they won't do it they have to go. Keep that in mind next time you go to the polls.

Well I have blogged about this before, but again I am really angry over the good old group project. I have pretty much written all of the 35 pages so far. All that I asked was that some of the group members go ahead and do up the Microsoft project files and then include them as attachments. Well I only have one person that has been contributing and I asked him to look at the assignment and that we would have to post specific items in Gant Chart format.
Well all I got was a PDF of our last assignment that I completed and submitted. I mean if all he was going to do was submit my work back to me why did he even bother? Anyway I went ahead and make up the charts the instructor requested and I just hope the group will read the pages and correct any gramatical errors that might be there.
I am one of those folks that won't catch mistakes unless I look at it a couple of days later, as regular readers of my blog know. Anyway the assignment is done and we turn it in on Friday. After that all I have is my safety presentation which is almost done, and not a group project and the final exams. I will be taking them starting this weekend and streching into the middle of next week. I will be so happy when this semester is over. It hasn't been hard just time consuming.
Well that is it for tonight. Time to get to bed.

Well now the government is going to use tax dollars to pay for health care for illegal aliens. Wouldn't it be better to use the 1 billion dollars to send these law breakers home? I guess not.
Hospitals here is southern California have been suffering big time so I guess at least this will keep them from closing more trama centers and emergency rooms. I just don't think the government should be chipping in to reward law breakers. Oh well, I guess someday someone might wake up and do something about these people being here illegally. Here is the article:
U.S. pays for care of illegal aliens

Wow, I have all but two of my term papers done. One is the group project and the other is the safety inspection paper. The gorup project is written, by me of course and all I have to do is add the enclosures. The safety paper is about half done and I have two weeks to finish that up. That makes me happy. I am almost done with the semester and will have the summer off. That will mean all I will have to do is work, but that is fun in my case.
That also means I will be able to be a little more active in blogging once all of the school stuff is done. Anyway. it's time to get set up for my group chat session so I had better end this and get set up.

Well today I worked on one of my term papers for a while. I decided to take a break and lay down for a while and watch TV. Well I watched the Demolition Man and ran across something interesting. In the scene where they are reviewing the prisoner list to see who had been in to see the warden, just before they read Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), they read Scott Peterson. Interesting since this movie was filmed in 1993. Anyway I just happened to catch that and figured since I don't really have much to blog about I would throw that out there.
I am bored with doing research today. I have been writing up my report on safety for my local Ralph's Groceries store. The manager wasn't very helpful so I am having to dig up stuff on the net. At least the USDA has a lot of resources and references for stuff like freezer and refrigerator temperatures. That was helpful and I have a good portion of the paper done. Now I am just a bit burned out on studying today. It will be great once these last two weeks of school are over.
Well, I suppose that is about it for tonight. I have to make sure I have everything ready for the workweek tomorrow. Since it is Mother's Day I amdoing the laundry for ma. I offered to take her out for dinner, but she wants to stay in tonight.
Anyway, to all you women that have children and visit my blog, Happy Mother's Day.

Well today was a lazy day. I got up early, and did a little school work and then just laid around and watched TV most of the day. I guess I was just tired after a busy week. The next two weeks are finals. I currently have "A's" in all my classes so I should do ok. I have a couple of major papers due and I guess I will finish them up tomorrow. I have been already working on them for a couple of weeks now.
It is going to be nice since I will not be going to summer school. I actually bought a bunch of ideas in blogshares today and I managed to pick some good ones. I also raided using all my artifacts and picked up a bunch of free ideas.
I have a great start on Plushie Tycoon for this month. My goal is to at least break a million in that this month. I did play a few games today, but as I said, I watched a lot of TV. Saw a few movies Like "Men in Black" and a few earthquake type movies on the SciFi Channel. What can I say, I actually like some of the cheesey movies on SciFi. Tonight is is "Law and Order" reruns. It is a great show and even the reruns are worth watching.
Other than that I just hope to have a nice restful weekend. I guess I am just getting old, but it feels great to just lay around some days. Anyway, I guess that is it for tonight. Have a great weekend.

I was just checking out Michelle Malkin's Blog when I spotted this:
SCHOOL TO SOLDIER'S SON: NO "CONVERSATING" ALLOWED!
I can't believe these school administrators could be so cold and callous. They should have heard him out and let him continue the call.
Early in my Navy Career, before Sailor Phone was installed on ships, and before they had the internet installed, I would call home when I could. It would sometimes be months between call, because when travelling in a battle group you just don't have one ship, you have a minimum of five and when they pull in all the phones in the immediate area are taken. I would usually wait until we would get to some huge port like Hong Kong to even attempt to make a call.
I am sure this is the case in Iraq right now. His mother may have had to wait days to get this call made, and to have the school hang up on her angers me to my soul.
I remember the during first Gulf War when I was stationed aboard USS Vancouver (LPD-2) having my feeling crushed because my wife wasn't home when I got to call home for the first time in months. We had launched our Marines and were anchored off the coast of Al Mishab, Saudi Arabia. A few days after the launch and once the war was over they allowed us to go pierside, though we were still manning our battle stations in case hostilities broke out again. While pier side the Captain allowed 15 people at a time stand down from General Quarters and take a truck ride to an ATT Phone Tent set up out in the desert. I remember waiting for hours to get my turn to go. The time came and we made a 15 to 20 minute trip out to the tent and then stood in line with all the Army, Air Force and Marine guys.
It took about an hour and a half to get to a phone and we were all limited to 15 minutes. I got my call in and my youngest son who was 7 at the time answered the phone. I asked him where mom was and he said she went to the store and would be home soon. So I talked to the kids until my 15 minutes were up. It was good to be able to talk to them buy my heart was broken to not be able to talk to the wife. Especially after she got the phone bill, which is another story.
That was the first and last time I had a chance to go to the phone tent as we got underway and back to our anchorage a day or so later. We then picked up our marines and just went from anchorage to anchorage for a month or so before we finally got to make a stop in Abu Dhabi, UAE and I was able to finally get in touch with the wife.
This is just one of the many stories I have from my past and phones. If I were to call and someone hung up and prevented me from talking to my family I would be furious. These administrators should wise up.
