Today I went to the store to buy the wife's favorite beverage, Coca-Cola, and the store was out. I asked a store employee what gives and was told that they are on strike. This was news to me until I got home and started looking whrough the local news. needless to say the wife is crushed as she thinks Pepsi is too sweet. I got her some lemonade and Tropical Soda and if all else fails some Margarita Wine Coolers. Coca-Cola Protest LAST UPDATE: 7/20/2004 6:42:19 PM
Employees at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of San Diego went on strike Tuesday in a labor dispute hinging on healthcare issues.
The employees, members of Teamsters Local 683, began the strike at midnight, according to a message on the union's hotline.
"We will offer to sit down with the company and discuss coming to a resolution on this contract," the union's recorded message to employees says.
The message also instructs employees to arrive for their normal shifts so they can walk picket lines.
Union officials were unavailable for comment.

Socialist's Support John Kerry.
The Democratic Socialists of America Political Action Committee is officially urging its members to work for the election of John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.
"Kerry was hardly the first choice of our members," said Frank Llewellyn, national director of the DSA. "Most supported Dennis Kucinich or Howard Dean in the Democratic primary elections and would be very critical of Senator Kerry's voting record on trade issues, as well as his support for the resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq; but the most important concern of our members now is to defeat Bush."
Socialist's urge support for Kerry
This is a good indicator of where he gets his support. He sure isn't getting very much from Viet Nam era veterans though he is going to be portrayed as the greatest Ameican hero since Seargent York or Chestey Puller.

After Direct Lightning Strike, Maine Man Says He Feels Energized and '100 Years Younger'
The Associated Press
MADISON, Maine July 23, 2004 — A Madison man who was struck by lightning this week says he feels "lighter and 100 years younger" than he did before the accident.
"I'm feeling like my body is light. It's the best I've probably felt as far as energy in 10 years," said John Corson, 56, the day after he was struck by lightning while working outside his home.
Wow, it this guy lucky or what? I can't imagine ever being hit by lightning around here, since we seldom get thunderstorms, but then to survive.

Is this the first of repecussions for PI pulling it's troops?
Well here we go, 6 foreign truckers kidnapped. This is just the beginning of a whole lot of these incidences not the the Philippines left. India, Egypt and Kenya do not even have troops in country. Stand by for some of these incidences to happen in the Philippines as their government has shown how they will fight terrorism. Read about it:

Micheal Moore has a pledge on his website. Basically he is asking his fans to sign this pledge. One of the more noteworthy things in his pledge are:
3. I Will Adopt 5 Nonvoters I Know and Take Them to the Polls.
You know who they are. Your slacker friends who have given up on the whole rotten group of politicians who run this country. Or they're the people you know who have had their lives made full of hardships thanks to the policies set by those very politicians. They too, have given up. And who can blame them? Why should they waste two minutes on voting?
Of course, that is just what those in power want them thinking. The more of us who give up, the more the rich and powerful can run amok over our lives. And there is perhaps no election in our lifetime more important than this one.
Pick five of the people you know who probably aren't going to vote. Acknowledge their despair and cynicism. Don't try to talk them out of it. But gently give them pieces of information over the next few months.
And then make a plan for Election Day. Take them out to vote and out to lunch (you pick up the tab!). Or have a party that night for those who voted that day.
Or get more creative. Offer a six-pack to anyone in the office who votes (make sure you're not working in cubicles full of Republicans!). Promise to have sex with a nonvoter - whatever it takes!
Basically buying or encouraging people to buy votes is illegal so Moore may have just overstepped the bounds. Moorewatch has been seeking clarification through Federal Authorities and is concidering reporting this as election fraud.

I've posted quite a few quotes from this guy and others over on Laila's More Than Quotes blog but tonight instead of posting links i would just like to blog about it.
Let's see, he was a Harvard trained lawyer so I have a feeling he knew what he was doing was against the law. He was also Head of the NSA so he knows what Top Secret is. Basically this guy should be arrested and charged, maybe even as a spy.
How the heck do Top Secret documents accidently get stuck inside your clothes. Sorry, I do not buy any of this guys BS. There must have been some damaging documents that would mess with the Clinton legacy, not that I think Clinton has a legacy.
This guy was there for one purpose and one purpose alone, get rid of the evidence. This was a security breach of the highest caliber and Sandy Burgular should be locked up awaiting arraignment for violating National Security as well as any other federal charges they can bring up. If i would have done something like this when i was in the Navy I'd still be in Leavenworth.
it is high time that the Bush Administration stop giving Clinton and his crony's a free pass. I want this guy locked up, charged and convicted. I don't want to see no darned slap on the wrist either. I want to see some big time punishment.

35 years ago today Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. Do you remember what you were doing. I was living in Napa, Ca at the time and remember that we all had our faces glued to the TV set. It was a great accomplishment and I am wondering why we haven't returned.

USS Ronald Reagan will arrive Friday.
The USS Ronald Reagan will be arriving in it's new home port of San Diego on Friday and the city is pulling out all the stops. Should be very interesting. Sure glad I no longer work in Coronado and glad I don't work at North Island. The traffic is going to really be miserable with three carriers in port.

Seems like Sandy Berger, Clinton's National Securtiy Advisor has just been caught with his hands in the cookie jar. Seems he was allowed to view classified documents prior to his 911 testimony. The only problem was that he didn't just view them. He carried a bunch of them off and lsot a few in the process.
This guy is a lawyer and knows better. I wonder what is being covered up, who's covering it up, and why this is not getting the National Press it deserves. See the article.
AP: Clinton Adviser Probed in Terror Memos
I wonder if this guy is going to ,walk just like the rest of the folks involved with Clinton seem to do.
