Scott Erskine will be sentenced tomorrow.

As frequent visitors to my blog know I was on the jury that recommended the death penalty for Scott Erskine. Tomorrow he gets sentenced. I hope that I can get off work to go to the sentencing, but I have a feeling that won't happen as we are in a crucial point of training for my students.

If I get a chance to go I will get down to the courthouse and report on it. If not I will post the local news stories with links.

Well upon checking the court schedule I have found that it's not going to happen tomorrow. I'm still digging and will post when he is sentenced.

So Edwards is going to fix the health care system?

I find it very hard to stomach the BS edwards is spouting about the health care system. After all, everyone has free health care. If you get in an accident all you have to do is go to the nearest emergency room and you are taken care of, health care or not. They can not turn anyone away. Why do you think the illegal immigrants love it here? Those that have insurance have to pay.

Now, what makes health care so expensive? Malpractice lawsuits is what drives up the costs. You know the exact lawsuits that dragged John Edwards out of his impoverished beginnings to being a multimillionaire. Now he wants to fix the health care sytem that he damaged to make his wealth. Sorry dude, I don't and won't buy it. This guy found one argument (and it has been proved bogus) and by selectively chosing only certain cases of young children suffering from Cerebral Palsy, turned it into a cash cow.

Do you really think he is going to go against his lawyer buddies and ruin this cash cow for them? No, he and Kerry are going to solve the health care crisis by taxing the ever loving hell out of the middle and lower upper class to support thier giveaway to the trial lawyers. I am so tired of hearing "taxbreaks for the rich", I want to scream. The rich cover their assets by offshore taxfree investments. Who fields the tax hikes? The folks like me, retired military with a new career and a wife that works. That throws me up above 6 figures and into the pay for the folks that don't want to work category.

Whenever I run into a person that is spouting the "taxbreaks for the rich" point paper, I ask "how much did you pay in taxes last year?". The answer generally is none. Then I ask "What tax breaks do you want since you don't have to pay any?" They are left speechless, much like when folks tell me bogus war and I ask them, "do you want us to fight them over there, or at your local mall?"

If the Republican Party does not exploit how John Edwards gained his wealth, then they do not deserve to win.

Poison in Baby Food.

I really hope they find the person responsible for this and hang them out to dry.

Poison

I find someone that would do this especially sick. even though the ricon was not in it's most lethal form, when given to a baby, who knows what would happen.

What's the platform?

Well, so far while I would not waste my time watching the Democratic National Convention, I have been reading to see if anything new is offered. So far all I have been able to find out is that even though they have toned it down you still have the "Bush is Bad, Kerry is Good" message.

I want to find out what Kerry plans to do about illegal immigration (my biggest issue), and since nothing is being said, I guess he is going to do the same thing Bush has been doing, nothing. If just one candidate would come forward and say they were going to enforce immigration laws, they would get my vote.

How anyone anywhere in government can tell me they are protecting me from terroism, while releasing illegals when they are caught, when they catch them in the first place is beyond me. The reason we can't find Usama Bin Laden, is because he is probably living in the Los Angeles underground, as easy as it is to get across our border.

As I listen to the issues, gay marriage, abortion, the economy, the war and who lied I ask myself, who cares. Why are people more worried about two gay guys poking each other legally than being blown up at their local mall? Have we forgotten about the World Trade Center and 9/11?

Hollywood is quick to make a crockumentary about the Bush/Bin Laden ties, anti-military, anti-American film. Where is the film showing these guys getting into this coutry in the first place? Where is the film that shows how they got away with living here, and being trained here to kill 3000 Americans?

You won't see it because it might offend the illegals, which would be politically incorrect. Political correctness is going to get us killed and end the United States as we know it. We will become a Third World Nation as the bombings start happening here, and they will happen here folks.

As the terrorists who are probably already here, take position in thier target city of choice one morning we are going to see several big booms, thousands if not millions killed, followed by Stock Market crash, fear and lawlessness as the government will not be able to take care of the multiple crisis.

Why is this going to happen? It's because those that are in power are more worried about keeping power than using the power to protect the people. As November approaches vote for the people that will keep you safe. Look at who's running for the Senate and House. Look at who's running for local office. Vote for those who will take a stance against all illegals, Mexican, Filipino, Chinese, Muslem, South American and all others.

Instead of looking how to expedite legal status for law breakers, lawmakers need to protect us from these lawbreakers, before we have no country left to enforce the laws in.

My wife is devastated.

Today I went to the store to buy the wife's favorite beverage, Coca-Cola, and the store was out. I asked a store employee what gives and was told that they are on strike. This was news to me until I got home and started looking whrough the local news. needless to say the wife is crushed as she thinks Pepsi is too sweet. I got her some lemonade and Tropical Soda and if all else fails some Margarita Wine Coolers. Coca-Cola Protest
LAST UPDATE: 7/20/2004 6:42:19 PM

Employees at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of San Diego went on strike Tuesday in a labor dispute hinging on healthcare issues.

The employees, members of Teamsters Local 683, began the strike at midnight, according to a message on the union's hotline.

"We will offer to sit down with the company and discuss coming to a resolution on this contract," the union's recorded message to employees says.

The message also instructs employees to arrive for their normal shifts so they can walk picket lines.

Union officials were unavailable for comment.

Socialist's Support John Kerry.

The Democratic Socialists of America Political Action Committee is officially urging its members to work for the election of John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.

"Kerry was hardly the first choice of our members," said Frank Llewellyn, national director of the DSA. "Most supported Dennis Kucinich or Howard Dean in the Democratic primary elections and would be very critical of Senator Kerry's voting record on trade issues, as well as his support for the resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq; but the most important concern of our members now is to defeat Bush."

Socialist's urge support for Kerry

This is a good indicator of where he gets his support. He sure isn't getting very much from Viet Nam era veterans though he is going to be portrayed as the greatest Ameican hero since Seargent York or Chestey Puller.

After Direct Lightning Strike, Maine Man Says He Feels Energized and '100 Years Younger'

The Associated Press

MADISON, Maine July 23, 2004 — A Madison man who was struck by lightning this week says he feels "lighter and 100 years younger" than he did before the accident.

"I'm feeling like my body is light. It's the best I've probably felt as far as energy in 10 years," said John Corson, 56, the day after he was struck by lightning while working outside his home.

Wow, it this guy lucky or what? I can't imagine ever being hit by lightning around here, since we seldom get thunderstorms, but then to survive.

Is this the first of repecussions for PI pulling it's troops?

Well here we go, 6 foreign truckers kidnapped. This is just the beginning of a whole lot of these incidences not the the Philippines left. India, Egypt and Kenya do not even have troops in country. Stand by for some of these incidences to happen in the Philippines as their government has shown how they will fight terrorism. Read about it:
