Wow, am I lazy today. Last night I logged off the PC early and was going to go to bed, but started watching something on the boob tube. I went to bed shortly after midnight and woke up this morning about 5:30. I did one of those, oh yeah, no work today things and rolled over and slept until about 8:30.
I watched a little TV news while in bed as the wife was already up and about and then went back to sleep until 10:30. I woke up and watched a little more TV and finally hoisted myself out of bed at 11:30.
After some breakfast I went and soaked in the bathtub for about an hour and a half. So as you can see my day has been pretty unproductive. I think it will continue to be that way too.
The wife has my car since she had a little fender bender on the way home last week. It is in being repaired. She was driving my son’s car but he is up visiting his girlfriend, so I am home alone, with no wheels and not much to do. I am cooking a roast for dinner if that could be considered productive.
Anyway that is my lazy Sunday. Actually it feels good to do this once in a while to keep my sanity. Also gets me energetic for the workweek.
Before I close today’s entry I would like to say my thoughts are with the folks in the Pensacola area, who just got pounded by Hurricane Dennis. I hope there wasn’t too much damage and that you will be able to return to your homes soon.

I saw this over at Right Thinking from the Left Coast and thought it was pretty cool. Lee got it from the site Are You Consevative?

If he runs he gets my vote on the issue of illegal immigration alone. No member of congress has been willing to address this problem as it would be racist. If someone breaks into your house and you call the police, is that racist? Same thing here, they have broken into our country and it is time they were rounded up and sent home.
All you have to do is look at what happened in London last week and know that we are susceptible to the same attacks. And what is even more scary, is that the city of London unlike any large cities in the United States has cameras everywhere and they still haven’t identified these terrorists.
England has had very lax immigration laws as well as many other countries in Europe. They are now seeing the result. How many terrorists are lurking now across our porous borders just waiting to blow us up as we are attending a ball game or shopping in a mall? Any place where large groups of people congregate are targets.
So if Mr. Tancredo runs, since he will do something about it he has my vote. Read about what he said here:

I woke up early, before the clock went off, so I switched on the news prior to showering and all. I was shocked to see that London had been bombed. I speak for my entire family when I send my condolences to the British people.
These Al Quada folks are trash and need to be eliminated from the planet. It is only a matter of time before the events in London are repeated here in the United States as our borders are not protected.
Will this finally wake up our elected officials in Washington to our border problems? Probably not, but one can hope. I was cruising around some of my regular blog hangouts. I lurk several places and all are outraged. I hope our congressmen and senators get the message.
It is time that we took the gloves off and start hitting these folks hard. We need to stop worrying about Gitmo and Abu Grabib, and hit these folks hard. It is the only thing they understand.
This should be a wakeup call for all. Everyone, where ever you live is a potential target for these folks. You are not safe anywhere on this planet until these terrorists are eliminated from the face of the earth.

Today while driving home at lunch I was listening to John Gibson, filling in for Bill O'Reilly on the Radio Factor and he was talking about the Groene kidnapping and murder case. I watched more about it today on Fox News and I am really mad about how this animal Joseph Edward Duncan III, was allowed to be on the streets in the first place. I agree with the father Steve Groene, "People like this should not be allowed in public."
Here are some sections from the article that I found especially chilling.
Duncan, 42, of Fargo, N.D., a convicted sex offender on the run from an earlier child molestation count, was charged Tuesday in 1st District Court with two counts of first-degree kidnapping.
The intent of the crimes, court documents said, was to rape, seriously injure or commit a lewd and lascivious act on a child under 16 years old. Duncan has not been charged with anything other than the kidnapping counts, which can carry the death penalty or life in prison.
Duncan had spent more than a decade in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint in Tacoma, Wash., and was a fugitive at the time of his arrest after he was charged with molesting the boy in Minnesota.
Shasta and Dylan Groene's aunt, Wendy Price, told FOX News she wants the judge who released Duncan to be held accountable and she also said future cases similar to this one must be prevented.
"I believe every judge who lets these people out of jail with these low bails, slap-on-the-wrist convictions ... something has to be done. We have to start looking into the records of these judges," Price told FOX.
In his interview with FOX News, Steve Groene said he couldn't believe an "animal" like Duncan could have been released on $15,000 bail. He said he wanted to get involved in pushing through legislation that could prevent that from happening again.
This guy was a repeat offender let loose on $15,000 bail. This judge should go on trial as an accomplice. Here is the entire article:

Interesting trip to work this morning.
This morning when I got up I happened to flip on the news while getting ready to go to work and heard that there was a wreck on the South I-805 near 43rd street. Well it just so happens I take the North I-805 and get off at 43rd street to go to work. Well I got ready and left ealier than usual. The freeway was a bit slow northboun, but I managed to get to work on time. I sure feel bad for the folks having to head south and I am glad there were not any serious injuries.
Here is a link to the story and picture of the wreck.

This guy should be fired, not given a raise.
Looks like the folks running the University of Colorado are still out to lunch. Ward Churchill is being investigated for plagiarism and has made several wacky statements in the press, like enlisted men should shoot their officers and that the folks killed in the World Trade Center were little Eichmann's. He should be fired, not given a raise.

My wife has been involved in a little adventure lately. 2 of her mother's friends are in town for the month and my wife is their chaperone. Both of these ladies are in their 80’s and lost their husbands a few years ago. They are here to meet men, and using Ma RWO as bait.
Today Ma RWO took them out to the Golden Acorn Indian Casino and I guess one of them managed to find a boyfriend. Besides that Ma won $1000 and the other lady won $4000. Anyway, the wife was really worn out when she came home and took a nap right away.
The kids managed to make it to Maryland OK. I hadn’t blogged about it but my daughter has decided to go live with her husband in Maryland and my son and his girlfriend helped with the driving. They made it safely and the son and girlfriend will fly back to San Diego on Friday.
I am glad that is off my mind now. I am just amazed at how fast they made it. I guess they just drove straight through against my advice. I guess they had better uses for the hotel money. Kids.
I am a little disappointed tonight. I had someone that wanted to sign up for a Neopets Premium Membership but someone lurking on my blog signed them up instead. That is not cool to steal referrals from someone’s blog. If you are the guilty party stop it. Anyway that is it for tonight.

In today’s world of rude people and folks that work at their job with no extra effort, when I go to a place that has decent service I am going to blog about it.
Ma RWO was in need of a new set of tires on her car. We used to go to Firestone, but the wife had a run in with them over some work they had done on my son’s car and when the wife questioned them about something they said the did, however didn’t she was called a stupid Mexican by the guy at the counter. Well she is not stupid and not a Mexican, so we cut up our families 4 Firestone cards and now take our business to Jiffy Lube and now Discount Tire Company.
I think I blogged about this one before, but I am too lazy to look today. Last year I had to take a trip up to Fresno. I decided to take the wife’s car as her Cadillac CTS is much nicer for long trips than my VW Beetle. As I got ready to leave the change oil light came on and since I had to get gas for the trip I just had the folks at my local Chevron station take care of the oil too. I started north on I 5 and when I got to Encinitas I noticed smoke coming out of the back of the car. I pulled off the road and right there was a Jiffy Lube.
I asked them if the could check it out for me and they found that the idiots at the Chevron had not tightened the drain plug. The tightened it for me and then directed me to a car wash where I could get the excess oil off the bottom of the car, and they would not accept payment. So now when I need an oil change it is Jiffy Lube.
Today I went to Discount Tire Company and these folks were fast, friendly, and courteous. For that they have gained a new loyal customer. Their place was being renovated as they are doubling the size of the store at this location. They set up a little patio area across from the bays and had a supply of free soft drinks, comfortable chairs, and umbrellas for shade.
They all seemed thrilled with the renovations being done and were talking about how great it is going to be with a huge customer lounge area. These guys were really happy working there and it showed.
All in all, I love it when I as a customer get a friendly smile and am treated in a nice way by the workers. That is why I shop at some stores over and over, and I would not be caught dead in others.
