Entry: Church Sunday, April 02, 2006

Well today was the Fifth Sunday of Lent and I attended the 11AM service with Father Arnold.

The first reading was
Jeremiah 31:31-34.  This was where the Lord made a new covenant with the Jewish and decided to remove sin from them, unlike what he did for their forefathers.

The second reading was from
Hebrews 5:7-9. This was where Jesus learned to endure pain for us.

The Gospel was John 11:20-33.  This was where Jesus had Lazarus rise from the dead.  It was a pretty good story and made believers out of the Jewish people who saw the miracle happen.

After the mass Father Arnold made a plea for donations to the last parish he was assigned to in the Philippines, and they are also having a blood drive, but it will be Friday afternoon and I will be on the plane by then.

Yup, I am really glad I went, and I would have given blood if they were really in dire need, and it wasn't going to be done when I am in the air.

I missed Sunday mass, glad that you're faithful enough to do your duty.

Also, I'm happy that you didn't donate your blood as your trip to Manila is just few days away!
