The first reading was Jeremiah 31:31-34. This was where the Lord made a new covenant with the Jewish and decided to remove sin from them, unlike what he did for their forefathers.
The second reading was from Hebrews 5:7-9. This was where Jesus learned to endure pain for us.
The Gospel was John 11:20-33. This was where Jesus had Lazarus rise from the dead. It was a pretty good story and made believers out of the Jewish people who saw the miracle happen.
After the mass Father Arnold made a plea for donations to the last parish he was assigned to in the Philippines, and they are also having a blood drive, but it will be Friday afternoon and I will be on the plane by then.
